The paid-tasks scam: the victim conveyor belt on Telegram
The "extra income" that captures data, induces transfers and ends in silent extortion.
Audience: Professionals and Personal Brands · Risk level: PREVENTIVE

Scenario
The person joins a Telegram group offering "extra income" for liking posts and following profiles. The first payments arrive (R$ 5, R$ 10) and build credibility. Then come "premium tasks" that require an upfront deposit to unlock a bigger commission. By the time she realizes, she has transferred growing amounts and the group has disappeared.
How the scam works
Operators advertise paid-task offers on social networks and WhatsApp. After a symbolic initial gain, they induce the victim to "invest" to unlock levels. Each level demands more money, and the promised earnings can never be withdrawn. In parallel, they capture CPF, banking data and selfies — later used in fraud or extortion.
Common mistake
Believing "I earned R$ 10, so it's real". The initial gain is part of the capture script, not evidence of legitimacy.
Impact
Progressive financial loss, personal data exposed for future fraud, companies opened in the victim's name and, when a selfie is captured, use in deepfakes and fake profiles on other networks.
What works
Blindfy monitors mentions of profiles and brands tied to these schemes, provides incident response for data capture cases and removes fake profiles that abuse real companies' names to validate the fraud.

Extra income that asks for a deposit isn't income — it's a conveyor belt that costs everyone who steps on it.
